It was not cancer, and doctors never mentioned anything further to us.

Because of her COPD, atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure and CHF, she suffers tremendously from respiratory problems and mainly the increase carbon dioxide problem which comes with COPD. It is the high acidity (low PH) which I blame for her smelly, thick, dark urine which can be in any form I just mentioned or only one of those but the color of gasoline mixed w/ water, or lately appearing to be potato flaky-like.

From experience of seeing doctors ignore many things in many of her hospitalizations and subsequent treatments, I’ve come to believe her kidneys may not be functioning as well as they should.

What would our main concern w/ the adrenal glands here be?

By the way, just remembered that they (adrenal) produce cortisone(?) or similar, which serve to protected against inflamation. Am I right?

Wouldn’t treatment of her adrenal glands help with her lung inflamation and thus her breathing improvement?

When people get clogged arteries, their blood pressure goes up, but shouldn’t it go down because the smaller the space the higher the velocity.

But in the past months (after a violent assault on my person) I started having extremely high blood pressure. Now, as you all know it doesn´t show any syptoms. At least not to explain how I began having these “atacks”. Dizziness, chest pain, a quasi coma, let’s say. Since I have performed on me every single cardiological test and the only problem is the blood pressure (it easily goes beyond 200), I began to suspect something which requires your knowledge. Does fatigue or a psychological stressful situation may trigger a sudden lowering of blood sugar? Now, I have come to this conclusion because sugar intake does seem to help. Sorry, I ran out of money and I haven´t gone from the cardiologist to the other doctor.

I’ve tried a few times, and fail due to the increased expenses of buying vegan foods, and the lack of nutrition from vegan foods leading to lightheadedness, exhaustion and lethargy. I want to be able to finally go vegan, and be able to actually succeed at it, and not keep failing. It can’t be good for my health to keep altering my diet so drastically.

The reason I want to go vegan is not so much due to the treatment of animals for slaughter, which I DO think is wrong, but more for my health. I have very high cholesterol, sky high blood pressure, and am more than 100 lb overweight. I know that meat is the reason for this, not because meat is bad for you, but because a steak to me, is 10+ ounces, not 6, and because I eat beef jerky likes its potato chips. Not to mention all the other very greasy meats I eat, and the quantities of such.

I do think the treatment of animals is terrible too. I don’t want to eat meat from an animal that was beat, arrived dead at the slaughter house, as they still are allowed to according to the FDA regulations, and diseased. Animals with cancer are still allowed to be used for consumption. I know cancer is not contageous, but the thought of it is just…. disturbing.

I know cutting meat and animal products out will be a healthy choice, and I will not have to worry about my food having to suffer just for me to eat it.

I would like to know some good websites that offer vegan advice, ideas for supplementing the nutrients you cannot get from non animal products, and also recipes. Some books too would be great. I love to read books more than read things online. Any suggestions also you may have yourself on your own personal experience making the switch would be awesome.

I hope this time I will be able to get into the swing of things, and be able to make this a lifelong commitment. I will have my doctor assisting me as well and monitoring me, but I would rather hear the experience of real vegan people.
