Health question?

Maybe I am a bit delusional. But in the past months (after a violent assault on my person) I started having extremely high blood pressure. Now, as you all know it doesn´t show any syptoms. At least not to explain how I began having these “atacks”. Dizziness, chest pain, a quasi coma, let’s say. Since I have performed on me every single cardiological test and the only problem is the blood pressure (it easily goes beyond 200), I began to suspect something which requires your knowledge. Does fatigue or a psychological stressful situation may trigger a sudden lowering of blood sugar? Now, I have come to this conclusion because sugar intake does seem to help. Sorry, I ran out of money and I haven´t gone from the cardiologist to the other doctor.

I’m not a doctor, but the first thing I noticed is that these issues with your blood pressure started after you were assaulted. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but perhaps the issue is not simply blood sugar but something along the line of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. One of the many symptoms of this (PTSD) are anxiety attacks, depression, etc.

There are many decent mental health clinics around that have a sliding pay rate, or even free, and many hospitals offer programs where you join groups to help you.

Please check to see if this is what is causing your health issues. Good luck.

Sound like your body is reacting to the stress of the attack. Stress whether it is emotional or physical as well as fatigue can cause you blood sugar and blood pressure to be out of the normal range.

Maybe you should consider talking to someone (a close friend or family member) about what happened, it can be a great stress reliever.

    Best of luck!
